The roots of Illinois Valley Urban Lumberjacks stretches back to 1965. With a few pieces of equipment, strong business practices and good family values, Al Lohr began the company that would become Illinois Valley Urban Lumberjacks. Al prospered in the business by servicing residential and small commercial tree service customers.
In 1998, Sheila Bray, daughter of Al and her husband Frank moved to South Dakota to help with the family business. Shortly after a year it was decided to relocate the business to Ottawa, Illinois.
Since moving to Ottawa the company has grown from 5 employees to over 40 employees. Now the company operates a very large fleet of tree service equipment including bucket trucks, chippers, stump grinders, log loaders, wood splitters, brush clearing equipment and more.
Traditional knowledge and work ethic balanced with progressive techniques and training has established Illinois Valley Urban Lumberjacks as the premier tree service company in the midwest. Rest assured that when you contract with Illinois Valley Urban Lumberjacks you are working with the best.
